Abstract Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of unilateral approach spinal canal enlargement angioplasty in the treatment of degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis under endoscopy. Methods: 100 patients with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis admitted from January 2014 to December 2016 were randomly divided into two groups. Patients in the control group were given non-surgical symptomatic treatment, while patients in the experimental group were treated with microscopic endoscopy spinal canal enlargement angioplasty. pain, lumbar function, neurological function recovery, disease-related parameters and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results: The JOA score, ASIA score, FIM score, lordosis angle, lumbosacral angle, distance traveled, intervertebral space height, spinal canal sagittal diameter, physiological function and other quality of life indicators and overall health score were significantly higher in the operation group. The ODI score of the operation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, there was a significant difference (P <0.05). Conclusion: The clinical effect of unilateral approach spinal canal enlargement angioplasty under the endoscope for the treatment of degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis is significant and has reference value.
